Deputy Sheriff Anthony Redondo was responding to a mental health call around 7:15 p.m. on June 26, 2021, when his patrol SUV collided with another vehicle in an intersection. Redondo, who had served with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office for just nine months, was 25 years old. He is survived by his parents and siblings.
