LAPD Sergeant Amelia “Terry” Martinez, assigned to the Hollenbeck Division, died January 12 due to complications from COVID-19. She was 53 years old and had been with the department for 27 years. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Steven, and her daughter, Amanda Lara, as well as her mother and several siblings.
