Los Angeles Fire Department Captain I George Roque passed away from complications of COVID-19 at an area hospital on New Year’s Day, 2021. He was a 22-year veteran with the LAFD, assigned to Station 97 in the Laurel Canyon/Mulholland area. He was 57 years old and is survived by his wife and four children.
Captain Roque was the second member of the LAFD to die from COVID-19 complications since the pandemic began.
