Port Authority PBA Endorses Marshall McClain for PORAC President

The Port Authority Police Benevolent Association (PAPBA), which represents 1,790 officers of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, has endorsed LAAPOA President Marshall McClain in his campaign to be the next president of the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC). In his endorsement letter, PAPBA President Frank Conti writes:

“Leading a state-wide organization representing the needs of law enforcement unions requires a leader with years of law enforcement experience, undeniable labor knowledge and, most importantly, a clear vision that includes success for all the organization’s members. That person is Marshall McClain, one of our nation’s notable law enforcement union leaders.

“Marshall’s years of experience and success on the frontlines fighting for LAAPOA and PORAC’s members is the exact combination the brave men and women of California law enforcement deserve and expect in leadership.

“As president of the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA) representing the members Los Angeles Airport Police Department (LAXPD), the nation’s largest airport police department, the LAAPOA rose to national prominence as a leader in protecting the rights, benefits and wellbeing of LAXPD police officers. As a PORAC Executive Board member he has been a steadfast and outspoken advocate for all the member organizations of PORAC. He has a keen interest in making sure the voices of all PORAC members are clearly heard at the executive level and acted upon.
