LAAPOA President and VP Continue Proud Statewide Leadership in PORAC

LAAPOA is pleased to announce that Vice President Rodolfo Bojorquez has been unanimously elected to chair the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) Legal Defense Fund (LDF), the nation’s oldest, largest and most respected public safety legal plan. Bojorquez has served as an LDF trustee representing PORAC Region III since January 2022, became LDF’s vice chair in November 2023 and assumed the position of chair in October 2024 following the retirement of the previous chair, Barry Donelan.

“It is an honor to lead our strong, hardworking group of trustees in representing the more than 160,000 PORAC LDF members nationwide,” Bojorquez said. “PORAC LDF has been committed to protecting the rights and benefits of its members since 1974, and as we continue to grow in numbers and financial strength, our goal is to continue to provide unparalleled service to our members and supporters, upholding the principles of fairness and respect for those who protect us all.”

Furthermore, LAAPOA President Marshall McClain has been re-elected to represent Region III on the PORAC Executive Committee. McClain has served on the PORAC Board of Directors since 2009 and on the Executive Committee since 2015.

“I’m proud to continue as a leader of PORAC, the largest law enforcement organization in California and the largest statewide association in the nation,” McClain said. “I am dedicated to representing my association, my region and our more than 84,000 peace officer members throughout California, and I look forward to the opportunity to further expand my service to our members, our profession and our communities by guiding PORAC into the future.”
