LOS ANGELES — LAAPOA is deeply saddened to announce the loss of Los Angeles Airport Police Officer Clayton Kadekawa, who passed away early this morning due to complications from thyroid cancer. He was a 13-year LAXPD veteran. We offer our condolences to his wife, Nancy, and his stepsons, Minh and John.
“The way the Airport Police family has rallied around the Kadekawa family over these last few months is a testament to how Clayton impacted everyone he met,” says Marshall McClain, president of Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association. “He was a beloved officer and friend in this agency. We will honor his memory, and he will truly be missed.”
Funeral arrangements for Officer Kadekawa will be announced by the Los Angeles Airport Police public information officer as soon as they become available.
Please keep the Kadekawa family in your thoughts and prayers.
