LAAPOA Extends Condolences in Wake of Las Vegas Concert Shooting

The Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA) Board of Directors offers its thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the senseless tragedy that occurred last night during a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada.

LAAPOA commends the brave law enforcement officers and first responders for their swift handling of the situation and for putting their lives on the line while protecting the thousands who were put in harm’s way. Officers were seen shielding the injured with their bodies and pulling civilians to safety while the gunman opened fire on the crowd. It has been reported that in addition to civilians, both on-duty and off-duty officers have lost their lives during the incident.

“We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and pray for full recovery for all those who were injured,” says LAAPOA President Marshall McClain. “Attacks like these are all too common and occur frequently in our society, but we must come together during these trying times and unite against those who threaten to harm our way of life.”
